Personal Intelligence Services

Personal Intelligence is a highly controversial subject, therefore a formal definition of PI Services is probably impossible. However, regardless of philosophical background, PI Services need to be able to access a user's PIA while respecting their privacy; they would choose which information they are interested in, then retrieve this information or ask to be notified about changes to that data. They would probably want to filter the information provided and then process it and, finally, present it to the user in a useful way.

Another useful source of information to PI Services is through querying of a user's device's indexing engine, e.g. SpotLight on the Mac/iPhone.
